Save the Date – Regional Day 2011

Register now for the Second Annual Vision Hampton Roads “Regional Day” Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Chesapeake Conference Center, 900 Greenbrier Circle, Chesapeake, Virginia. Breakfast is held 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the event is open to the public.

Regional Day is the annual report to the community of initiatives and results of the first region-wide Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), Vision Hampton Roads.

Aneesh Chopra, Chief Technology Officer to the President of the United States (White House BIO) and former Secretary of Technology for the Commonwealth of Virginia, will keynote, sharing U.S. initiatives surrounding innovation and how they relate to Hampton Roads. Chopra’s work and knowledge of the challenges facing Virginia will help launch the Hampton Roads region into its global – technology – future and help reinforce the “grow your own” innovation development strategy.
